SoundGrid is a versatile matrix sequencer designed for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users. Inspired by the renowned Tenori-on by Yamaha and popular ToneMatrix web app, SoundGrid allows you to effortlessly craft melodies on-the-go. Even for individuals with no prior music composition experience, SoundGrid offers intuitive functionality that fosters creativity. Within minutes of exploration, users can start producing distinctive compositions with simple finger movements.
One of SoundGrid's standout features is its user-friendly interface, which seamlessly facilitates the creation of unique musical pieces. Users can easily share their creations with the community, while also exploring, downloading, and evaluating compositions made by others. Additionally, the app enables users to record tracks and live performances directly into audio files, which can be seamlessly uploaded to platforms like SoundCloud or exported to a computer.
For more seasoned musicians, SoundGrid provides advanced capabilities that cater to crafting elaborate compositions and live performances. With up to eight 16x16 matrix layers and multiple instrument options featuring high-quality stereo samples, users have a wide array of creative tools at their disposal. The app boasts a real-time audio engine with sound effects such as Amp Envelope, Delay, and resonant filters, providing a dynamic musical experience.
Key features of SoundGrid include Song Mode for seamless pattern transitions, Live Play Mode for engaging performances, and Draw Mode for interactive sound manipulation. Users can access over 20 instruments within the app and freely install additional instruments through the Web Console using personal samples.
